I have about given up on the Enforcement of our 16 Iowa Drainage Laws or the Clean Water Act that have been around for 30-40 years but are not being enforced under Governor Branstad our 20 year governor. The removal of the Enforcement funds from the IDNR is no excuse for them and the USDA-NRCS to encourage and promote Point Source Polluting of our Source Waters with the very water soluble CAFO and Anhydrous Ammonia Nitrogen fertilizers.

Go to www.IowaColdCases.org and read Adam M. Lack's Cold Case file titled, A Dead Zone Death. Adam and Gary were murdered to cover-up the illegal draining of this Wetland Recharge Area so a group of Tea Party Farmers who don't believe they have to follow even the Federal Clean Water Act Anti-Degradation Laws or Iowa Drainage Laws, or honor our Rights to Life, Rights to Our Property, or our Right to Clean Safe Drinking Water.

You would think the IDNR would at least warn the Iowan's Downstream to test their water after each flood or snow melt for Ammonia Nitrogen as N before they chlorinate and cause deadly Trihalomethanes in their drinking water. A huge Aquifer Recharge Area has been illegally channeled to a line of sinkholes in a Designated National Wetland creating Mitchell County's Plume that took out a well for Waterloo, IA in October of 2015.

I'm waiting for an answer from the Attorney General's Office and the IDNR's Russ Tell of when he's going to warn the people in this Plume that use the aquifers down to a depth of 300 feet that are heavily contaminated with Atrazine, (other Nitrates like herbicides and pesticides) and now, Anhydrous Ammonia and CAFO Nitrogen fertilizers, decontaminants, Arsenic and Lead. Those farm, acreage, town, and city well owners needed to be warned at least 12 years ago, but the IDNR hides or guards the well test Data Bases at the Hygienic Labs and says its to Political to say we need to test for the Anhydrous Ammonia or Ammonia Nitrogen as N, before we Chlorinate for the CAFO bacteria.

Veronica Lack

Veronica Lacknoreply@blogger.com
