Yet, no one can deny...Some projects don't work out. Yet, no one can deny the impact of the the Coral Ridge Mall and the renovation of Sycamore Mall. Both used TIF, and both have been excellent projects. What funding has been lost to cities because of those projects? While difficult to quantify, those projects certainly spurred growth and bolstered property value in their respective areas, both of which led to increased revenues for local governments in the area.<BR/><BR/>Economic Development is a competitive business.
